For the time being, Metro is allowing passengers to carry and drink water on their trains. If you need to switch to Metro, keep in mind, this is an exception for them for this heat wave.
MTA Customers - Due to the ongoing severe heat throughout the state the agency is temporarily relaxing its ban on beverages. Passengers will be allowed to bring clear water bottles on Metro Subway, Local Bus, Light Rail and Mobility vehicles. The relaxed beverage policy will remain in effect through Sunday, July 21, 2013.
This is a public forum for public transportation riders in the Metro DC area. My posts will focus on improving the quality of life on the MARC train, particularly the Brunswick Line. My observations, opinions, and recommendations are not bias free. Respectful disagreement is always welcome. I look forward to you becoming a regular visitor and inspiring you to take positive action to make area public transportation run smoother. Before posting, carefully read the Terms of Use and Disclaimers.
